The establishment of Zol Bök Ner suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Zol Bök Ner which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.
Zol Bök Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Zol Bök Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Zol Bök Ner is buildings are built arround a single spacious packed earth mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. Astonishigly, the robustly designed timber walls are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.
Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Zol Bök Ner. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Cultural Notes
Two or more groups of citizens within Zol Bök Ner hate each other. Their neighbors or the local law have kept things from too-overt violence, but members of the groups will constantly interfere with their rivals and cause whatever misery they can get away with. This hate may spring from recent events, or it may be an inherited spite from old wrongs.
Zol Bök Ner's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.

The eruption was isolated to the area around Zol Bök Ner, which was swallowed in ash, lava flows, and pyroclastic gasses. Zol Bök Ner lost 252 people, 302 livestock, and 94 buildings in the disaster. The event is forever remembered as the Day of Hate's Wrath.
